Hi, I’m Heather, an agency marketer with twenty years of experience in the New Biz seat. I’ve built a career out of being a square peg and that’s what makes me exceptional at positioning and growing small agencies and winning new business.

My flavor of business development doesn’t include “selling” — at least not in the traditional sense. It’s about a keen ear and a knack for uncovering mutually beneficial opportunities.

I don’t believe in silver bullets. I’m a systems thinker and I approach any job I do holistically. Positioning, PR, digital presence, thought leadership… all are integral to the Biz Dev engine. As is the work the agency produces. Most important is the work.

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in is that getting what you want is about knowing what you don’t want. Knowing what to say “no” to is as important as having a clear vision for what success looks like.

Luck happens, and when it does, grab hold and ride that wave. But sustainable growth is built on strategy, not luck. And that’s what I’m here to help with.
